Dale Flynn, PMO Operations & Transformation RECCo
Tell us a few things about yourself and why you wanted to join RECCo?
I was looking for a PMO role that would allow me to grow and put what I have learnt over the past several years in PMO/Project Management roles into practice, and allow me to put my own stamp on things. I have worked for smaller organisations in the past, and I feel they suit my ways of working.
What does a regular working day look like?
Very early days at the minute, so I am just looking at what is currently in place from a project governance perspective, and making recommendations on how we may do things in the future. Several new initiatives have started recently, so I have implemented a standardised governance and reporting structure, and I offer general support to the projects.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
With so much going on at the minute, no two days tend to be the same which I like and helps keep me on my toes. It feels good to have implemented some basic project governance and reporting across the portfolio, and I think this will form a good basis as we grow and more initiatives are spun-up.
What do you do in your spare time?
I enjoy going to the gym and walking my dog when time allows during the week. I love eating out, so weekends usually centre around that and attempting to play golf. Travelling is my favourite thing to do, and I try to explore somewhere new at least once a year.
