Our Interim Director for Stakeholder Engagement and Communications
In August, Jonathan Ainley joined us as our Interim Director for Stakeholder Engagement and Communications. He is providing maternity cover for Rachael Anderson, our Director for Corporate Affairs, and joins us for the next 12 months. We’re happy to welcome him to the team! Read on to learn more about his experience and his new role at RECCo.
I’ve spent the vast majority of my career in the energy sector in one form or another - aside from a recent stint working on the government’s response to COVID-19 - so I would class myself as an energy geek. I’m passionate about utilising the latest technology to deliver the most efficient and engaging energy system for consumers, and I firmly believe that the retail markets are the best place to drive that change, hence joining RECCo.
I lead our work on engaging with our exciting and valued stakeholder community to ensure that RECCo is delivering for consumers on behalf of the industry. I also make sure that our communications are well-delivered and on point!
I want to get out there and talk to stakeholders, so that I can ensure that we continue to provide an excellent service for consumers. I want to ensure that RECCo’s approach to code management and change is fully understood - I think that this could facilitate positive change for consumers.
Running around after my two kids and trying to spend some quality time with my wife. I’m also involved in my local community and volunteer at a residential home for adults with mental health needs. I also try to watch and attend sporting events where I can.
